Plavix
pharmaceutical pakaging redesigned
Lotus is the project of a pharmaceutical packaging designed for
the blood pressure pill produced by Plavix.
The design of Lotus is based on the one hand on the dynamics of
use of the drug by the user, that is, taking a pill every day;
on the other hand it solves a problem of use experience that often
users face while using normal blisters, that is, the accidental fall of
the pill as soon as the capsule that holds it is opened.
THE NEW PAKAGING SOLUTION
- An improved blister which still answers to material requirements
- Easier to open and understand if the user has taken their daily pill
- Easy to transport packaging in smaller doses which aids the correct dosage
- More informative packaging design to improve the user’s health literacy
- Better information provided about the user’s regimen and the correct use, storage and disposal of the medicine
- New blister which still ensures product integrity and protection and reduces the possibility of accidental misuse or dosage problems
concept sheet
In the first case, Lotus allows you to easily check the pill intake thanks to a specific graphic that reports the day of the week on each capsule. In the second case, the accidental fall of the pill is prevented thanks to the opening system that on one side takes place upwards and on the other keeps the pill inside the packaging thanks to a specially shaped capsule shape.
MAIN FEATURES
The parent of the child will be able to purchase an “arm” that fits into the panels by means of a handle. This arm has a raised area in the upper part where you can tie the jacket through the loop of the cable.
NEW OPENING
The new Plavix blister is split in 7 individual pill compartments, one for each day of the week – this aids the user in tracking whether they have taken their daily pill. Each compartment features an easy peel opening system
POSITION PILLS
The blister features 7 concave pill placeholders which ensure the
pills stay in place in the blister upon opening
SAME QUANTITY OF PILLS
The Plavix secondary packaging fits 4 blisters for a total of 28 pills,
leaving the medicine regimen unchanged.
