La Linea è una rastrelliera modulare per biciclette e monopattini elettrici,  che con un design semplice rende facile da capire gli obiettivi progettuali.

CONCEPT
 
MATERIAL

Stainless steels are corrosionresistant due to the phenomenon of passivation. Elements present in stainless steels readily react with the surrounding environment, especially chromium, which helps form a thin protective layer safeguarding the material from subsequent corrosive attacks.

The fundamental difference between the two types of steel is that AISI 316 contains molybdenum, whereas AISI 304 does not. In most cases, stainless steel AISI 316 is more resistant to corrosion.

The price per meter of stainless steel 304 with a diameter of 33,4 mm and a thickness of 2 mm is €13,66. The price per meter of stainless steel 316 with a diameter of 33.4 mm and a thickness of 2 mm is €30,13.

 

PRODUCTION

The curvature of tubes and sections mainly consists of two types: mandrel bending and ring rolling. Mandrel bending is especially suitable for creating tight curves in metal tubes. It’s named after the mandrel inserted into the tube to prevent it from collapsing onto itself during bending. Ring rolling, used to form continuous and usually wide curves in tubes and sections (bars or extruded profiles), is also known as section bending.

 

Tapering is the manipulation of a metal tube, rod, or cable in a mold. It’s commonly used to reduce its cross-sectional area by drawing out the material; pressing techniques, on the other hand, are used to expand the tube diameter by elongating it.

 

 

JOINT

By utilizing the tapering technique, it’s possible to create a male component in the module that negotiates the ground curve, thus connecting the respective modules.

It will be necessary to drill all the ends of the modules with a jig, allowing the passage of a screw for anchoring to the ground and securing the structure.

 

BENDING
To calculate the curvature of a tube using the cold forming technique, it’s necessary to determine if the tube’s curvature is feasible by considering the following factors:
